Another portfolio for Priyo Oktaviano. This collection named Paradisiac, means related to paradise. Priyo Oktaviano is interpreting Bali as one symbol of Indonesian richness of heritage. Through colorful Balinese weaving and richness of gold chain, Priyo wants to show an elegance from Indonesian woman yet still showing their tough and strength. The portfolio and the collections were flown miles away to be presented in Washington DC , USA.
The pictures themselves are inspired from Vogue articles that featured about Galiano works of couture. With some helps from several people, here are they, my breaking record session, the most many models that I’ve shot ever in one frames, 12 models of JIM. Here is the big parade!

It’s a no doubt that I am a junkie of drapery technique since I fell in love with la mode for the first time. In a chic way, I found it may presenting value of richness, elegance, and yet very artistic. So, still from the previous post series of pictures, hopefully someday I can launch my label for real, Thornandes James.
Pictures are still taken by my gorgeous great photographer friend of mine, Julius Bramanto Zulkarnaen, and a fierce lovely model with legs to-die-for, Drina Ciputra, I present you La Danseusse by Thornandes James.

Yes, it’s my another imaginary cover again. If you saw my late post of IndividualistS exhibition, then maybe you’ll recognize the picture. I made this with Julius Bramanto Zulkarnaen for his last group exhibition. It’s also another unwell planned session actually, I personally not preparing any dress or wardrobe for this one, because we were want it to be semi-nude session, but due to the “mentally-unprepared” model so we decided to make a dress from the plain fabrics I have.
I always love drapery dress, especially if it’s made with satin, somehow it gives you a simple sophisticated and elegant look. The dress itself was not stitched, it’s only joined with safety pins, a lot safety pins. About the edition itself, well I gave this one “Muse” issues. Drapery dress is very closed with Greek goddess, they’re often visualized with the elegance in their attitude, a soft person with strong character. They’re as well visualized as a statue, and that’s the essence of the Javanese mask on her face. Accessorized with my assistant’s DIY gold necklace and bangle, I want it to be clean and sharp.
