IndividualistS - Preparation and The Opening Night

“Individualist does not necessarily being interpreted in a negative way all the time, it may also be interpreted as a person who is keeping his/her personality and freedom of his/her own.”
“Each people are unique in his/her own different ways, every works that we’ve made are pictures of our emotion and idealism, it may show who we are as an artist as well as an individual.”

The Opening Night

Dorama
Some people like Hollywood movies, some of others like European such as French and Italian movies, and myself like drama Japanese movies. If people rate the movies firstly from the stories or acting, it’s kind of quite different to me, well yes storyline, plots, actings are also in my top criteria of making a good movie, but lately I realize that details of angles and color tones are very appealing and took me over a little.
What I do like from Japanese drama movies, besides the real life kind of stories and my crush with the language, are how they play with lights and shadow as well as the way they’re telling the stories. From the various and dynamic plots, the silent moment, the settings, the narration, the body language, the stiffness, mimics, sound effects, angles, and color tones, they’re work together very well. They even don’t need to put conversation to create a scene, more kind of non-verbal things playing a big role, not the dialogs. Japanese movies are more playing with the emotions, they like to take the viewers to feels the real ambience’s and get into the scene. It will be a very perfect example to learn capturing mood through ambiance, body language, and tones.

The Second Wedding
I don’t have any idea what to wear to my bestfriend’s mom second wedding. The dresscode itself is Batik or anything that related to Javanese culture, since my bestfriend got a bold Javanese culture in his family. First, I try to figure out what to do with my Batik fabric, and it caught my heart when it turned out to this chic-drapery-revealing-dress. But unfortunately it will be a controversy if I go with a dress to the wedding that is been held in a mosque and lots of old generation as the guests. The only way out is to tone it down with this padded shoulder blazer and a high waisted pantaloon, the result was marvelous! Love it!
Deep blue tweed padded shoulder blazer, my mom’s vintage blazer. Batik silk drapery dress worn as a top, thoraja by thornandes james. Gunmetal high waisted pencil pantaloon, Club Monaco. Black satin peep-toe platform, Pedder Red. Black satin clutch with gold metal logo embelishment, Alberta Ferretti.
“Sorry for the low resolution quality due to camera phone and lack of lights.”
